Homerton SCBU
Homerton Neonatal Unit is a centre of excellence for care of premature and sick babies and is part of the London Perinatal Network.
The neonatal intensive care unit which was first opened to patients in 1987 is one of the leading baby care units in the North East London Area. After an £8m investment the unit has grown from 16 to 36 cots where high dependency and special care is provided.
Brandon Medical has worked with Homerton to provide them with the dependable medical products needed within a neonatal environment. Included in this was the installation of Brandon's Coolview HD-LED examination lights. Coolview HD-LED examination lights are ideal for neonatal units because the light does not emit any infrared or UV light. The light emitted is cold which maintains a stable temperature for the babies' environment. The lights were selected because of their excellent light quality and full spectrum colour rendition.
