Brandon Director Named 'Director of the Year'

Graeme Hall, Managing Director of Brandon Medical, has won the Institute of Directors €˜Director of the Year Award'.

The award ceremony, held at Royal Armouries Leeds, is a celebration of outstanding achievement in business. The judging panel included entrepreneurs, market experts and business leaders. On receipt of the award Mr Hall commented "It is a privilege to have won and an honour for Brandon Medical, I feel it is important that Brandon as an entire entity is recognised because without our team of committed staff our success would not be possible".

Brandon Medical is a medical technology company specialising in the field of medical lighting. The company is long established, operating from its central Leeds location for over 40 years. Since his takeover in 1993, Mr Hall has overseen an expansion of the business from a £500,000 single product company to a £6.5M modern med-tech company with distributors all over the world. This med-tech company's impressive portfolio includes medical lighting, medical architectural equipment, control and power systems and medical AV systems. In the past two years alone, the company has won 12 innovation awards where their HD-LED technology and Symposia AV Systems have been recognised as being €˜best in class'.

Despite Government spending cuts and the worst recession of recent times, Brandon Medical still increased turnover by 32 % in the last year. Couple this with 12 accolades for innovation, business growth and development in the last two years and it is clear to see why Mr Hall won the award.
