New – Atlas® Medical Pendant

Brandon Medical's Atlas® Medical supply pendants have been re-designed to improve user functions and maintenance. New features include increased internal service area for additional medical, gas and electrical services and greater load bearing capacity to allow more equipment to be carried.

This maximises the amount of services that can be passed through the arms and the volume of equipment that can be supported on the service head. All of this is concealed within smoother, more rounded arm systems designed for easy cleaning. The Atlas Multifunction Rack system is retained to provide maximum flexibility in accessory selection and placement.

Further improvements include the 'lightguide' pendant brake indication. This intuitive indication system uses illuminated coloured markers to give both an indication of brake release and the point of rotation. New lighting options can also be integrated, including LED up-lighters in the extension arm and down-lighters in the service head. This provides adjustable lighting for day-time and evening staff circulation enhancing patient comfort and staff safety.

Centralising services and equipment using Brandon Medical's Atlas® pendant systems provides a flexible solution for surgical and intensive care units - some of the most complex and demanding areas of a hospital. Future access for servicing is also improved, reducing maintenance downtime over the life span of the pendant.

Completed installations include King George and King's College London Hospital's new endoscopy departments. The new Atlas Pendants have also been selected for projects by the teams at Great Ormond Street, Barnsley District General Hospital, Kent Institute of Medicine & Surgery and Maidstone Hospital. These installations demonstrate the wide range of applications including surgery, endoscopy, critical care right through to A&E Resus areas. Each system is bespoke designed from consultation to installation to precisely suit client requirements.
