Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

Mr Philip C. Guard – Director, PCG Consultancy Services

I would like to inform you how pleased the Medical consultants, and nursing staff of Alderhey hospital are with the CLED23 Examination Lamps, which your installation team fitted in Wards N3, and the overall A and E major and minor areas.

Particularly popular was the designs of the head unit with the easy handhold apertures in the light head; this allows ease of adjustment with one hand when staff is holding a child. The excellent lighting cluster colour adjustment facility assists superbly in identifying under skin rashes. The manoeuvrability of the new arm design is very impressive and the unit is extremely easy to clean. The safety factor of the enclosed LED light modules is appreciated by all staff.

The new hospital medical steering committee, have requested that they wish to transfer the CLED23, lights to the new hospital.

The ward managers were very pleased that despite the percentage of works that were carried out, there were no complaints, and the staff were highly complimentary of the liaison factor during the overall projects.

Thank you once again for the efforts of your staff for the installing the light units under very difficult conditions, and adhering to Alderhey’s very strict levels of cleanliness and out of hours H/S Policy’s.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals

Mr J Hahnel – Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Following the supply and installation of Quasar® elite operating lights in our modular theatres at Bradford Royal Infirmary, I am very pleased to present this letter as recommendation regarding the work that Brandon Medical have completed with regards to this project.

Our modular theatres at Bradford Royal Infirmary undoubtedly present a challenge for replacement theatre lights due to the low ceiling heights involved. We have 16 different surgeons who regularly use these theatres all of whom are relatively fussy and having the universal satisfaction of them has been quite an achievement. The installation of the lights and their associated controls was performed with minimal disruption to theatre and the final result gives the appearance that they were designed integral to out theatre suite. The bushings in the supporting handles provide ease of movement, yet accurate placement of the light without drift and the LED lights provided great contrast whilst operating.

The post-installation support provided by Brandon Medical has been superb and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Quasar® elite operating light and Bradon Medical Co. Ltd and indeed have recommended them to a colleague in a neighbouring Trust already.

The Royal Bournemouth Hospital

David Rumbold, Estates Manager (Projects) at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

Following your successful tender for the supply and installation of medical pendants in our new Colposcopy Suite, I would wish to thank your whole team for their efforts in completing this challenging project.

The project provided both medical pendant and Astralite tandem mounts to two new Colposcopy procedure suites within our recently completed Jigsaw Building.

Throughout the project support from the whole Brandon Medical team was excellent, fully understanding both our clinical and technical requirements for the equipment. This was aided by a very well informed technical sales team who worked with the Lead Clinician to ensure his needs were fully understood and accommodated.

During the installation phase your site team co-ordinated well with the Principle Contractor such that installation into what was at that time his live construction site was completed without impacting on his overall construction programme.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Brandon Medical Co. Ltd. for this of similar works.

Newcastle School of Dental Sciences

Diane Anderson – Nurse Coordinator at the School of Dental Sciences

“Newcastle School of Dental Sciences are continually updating and improving our teaching and training facilities. The new LED lights have made a massive difference to the Clinical Simulation Unit.

The students and staff are very satisfied with the lights and they are a great improvement for the CSU. The manoeuvrability of the lights and positioning of the lamp head allows greater visibility when working on the phantom heads so students can actually see what they’re doing. Brandon Medical gave excellent guidance and advice when helping us to choose the lights and this was followed through to after sales and installation.”
