Cambridge IVF has been granted a license from the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA) and is set to offer IVF treatment on the NHS from 2012. The IVF centre uses Brandon Medical’s innovative embryo cell safety light.

 

Twins who were born joined at the head have been given life saving surgery by a team of British doctors at Great Ormond Street hospital. It took the surgeons 4 procedures over 3 months to successfully separate the twins and Brandon Medical played a small, but crucial, part.

 

Brandon Medical’s Symposia CoPAX system is an integrated control and display system that combines the display and distribution of high definition (HD) laproscope images, audio visual control and display functions, operating theatre records and PACS review. All of this is combined into a single integrated wall unit that is clean and hygienic. The 42” touchscreen features multiple or single source display, applications such as an integrated World Health Organisation checklist with time and date stamp, automatic emailing and recording of documents such as operating information to basic administrative tasks.

Brandon Medical’s brand new HD-LED operating theatre light for minor surgery has caused quite a stir in the medical lighting market. Astramax, the new operating theatre light produced enormous interest amongst medical professionals during its launch.

 

Pinderfields and Pontefract's £331m rebuild consisted of complete reconfiguration of health services in the West Yorkshire community. The project has delivered a new acute inpatient centre for the whole of the Wakefield district at the Pinderfields site. The Pontefract site provides all the facilities for outpatients clinics including day surgery, scanning and other diagnostic techniques.

Brandon Medical provide an illuminated magnifier which helps those with dry age related macular degeneration. Optica 388 has a central magnifier which is surrounded by high intense lighting to maximise vision for the user. Traditional magnifiers are hand held, which necessitates the practical loss of one hand, and are often too small, making reading and writing difficult. However, Optica 388 has a range of mountings enabling the light to be mounted on a rail, wall, desk or a mobile trolley.

Brandon Medical stepped ahead of tough competition to be selected for a prestigious Ruban d'Honneur in round two of the European Business Awards sponsored by HSBC. All recipients will now prepare to appear before a third judging panel of experts which will take place at HSBC's offices in Canary Wharf, London.
